Human Rights Education
Human rights education is an important and integral part of the right to education and is increasingly gaining recognition as a human right in itself. Knowledge of rights and freedoms is considered a fundamental tool to guarantee respect for the rights of all. YHRC Nepal’s work in human rights education is guided by the Youth for Human Right International’ easy to understand human rights materials.
Education should encompass values such as peace, non-discrimination, equality, justice, non-violence, tolerance and respect for human dignity. Quality education based on a human rights approach means that rights are implemented throughout the whole education system and in all learning environments. Children and Youth are the future of this world. Education programs that teach them their human rights and how to defend and protect them forward the message of tolerance and cooperation, and the ultimate goal of universal human rights and to make Human Rights a fact.
Human Rights Campaign
Our campaign for human rights empowers children and youth in Nepal to be an important part in creating the change we envision for our country. For long-lasting peace and tolerance, we are motivated to spread human rights through difference way like workshops, Walkathons, youth gathering, school & college programs, trainings and data collection to let know children and youth that Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status.
We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.
